Lineage explorer
When someone challenges a number, you want to walk it back to its sources yourself, hop by hop, with the evidence at every step. The lineage explorer lets stewards, second line, and auditors do exactly that without filing a ticket to engineering.
Start from any report line, column, or CDE and walk upstream or downstream one hop at a time.
Every hop shows its evidence: the parsed statement, when it was scanned, and which connector read it.
You can switch between technical and business views mid-walk, so a steward and an engineer can discuss the same path.
Filter the walk to what matters: CDEs only, a single report, one domain, or paths carrying open issues.
Export any walked path with its evidence into an evidence pack for an exam or an attestation.
Where evidence ends, the explorer says so, and it never draws a guessed edge to fill the space.
Search
Find the number, column, or business term you are being asked about.
Walk
Expand hop by hop in either direction, and each edge loads with its evidence attached.
Inspect
Open any edge to see the exact statement and scan it was derived from.
Export
Capture the path and its evidence into a pack you can hand to an examiner.
“Where did this number come from, and can you show me right now?”
Yes. Search for the number, then walk upstream hop by hop; each edge loads with the parsed statement, the scan time, and the connector that read it, so the answer arrives with its evidence attached.
“Can my second line trace this without asking engineering?”
That is exactly what the explorer is for. Stewards, second line, and auditors walk lineage themselves, and they can switch to the business view mid-walk so the path reads in plain terms.
“Where exactly does our evidence run out on this path?”
The explorer tells you plainly. Where evidence ends, it says so rather than drawing a guessed edge, so you always know which part of the path is proven and which part is not.
Start with proof, not a promise.
There are three ways in, and each one earns the next. You approve the exit criteria before we spend any more of your time or budget.
A 60-minute working session
Bring one report that is expensive to prove. We walk the mechanism against it. Nothing is required from your side.
A two-week guided sandbox
Your team works hands-on against a synthetic sample bank. It requires zero access to your systems and zero procurement.
A six-week proof on your systems
We use read-only metadata across five systems and one priority report, scored against criteria both sides sign first. The decision it produces is yours.
