The governance framework

One loop, from obligation to proof.

This is the operating model inside the product: how an expectation becomes a control, how a break becomes a verified fix, and who is allowed to decide what along the way. Your auditors will recognize all of it.

The lifecycleend to end

Six stages, one governed record beneath them.

Every governance program walks the same road: plan, discover, define, own, assure, deliver. Click a stage to see what happens there and which modules carry it. The difference here is that all six stages write to one sealed record instead of six binders.

  • Define vision, goals, and outcomes
  • Assess current state and maturity
  • Set the operating model and decision rights
  • Align to the regulatory requirements you carry

The chain it maintains

This is the chain the loop keeps whole.

From the obligation to the sealed evidence, every link is a live connection. Take one piece of evidence away and watch what the loop has to repair; put it back and trust recomputes on its own.

The working loop01 / 03

Nine steps, with no shortcuts.

Every step writes to the same record, so by the time you reach the exam, the evidence file already exists.

Define

A regulation, policy, or breach becomes a written, testable requirement with an owner.

Click any step, or let it run. When a step can't complete, because a source is down or lineage is stale, the loop holds and says so. Nothing silently passes.

Decision rights02 / 03

Who decides what, and who can't.

Separation of duties is enforced at the decision point, in software. The last column is the one your audit committee will care about: nobody can hand-set a trust state, because the action does not exist.

Chief Data Officer

May

Set scope and priorities, accept residual risk where delegated, sponsor remediation

Cannot

Hand-set a trust state. Certification is computed, even for the CDO

Stewards & owners

May

Approve thresholds, request remediation, grant bounded exceptions with expiry

Cannot

Approve their own exception, verify their own fix, or close a failed issue by hand

Producers & consumers

May

Propose fixes and mappings, execute assigned remediation, challenge data they distrust

Cannot

Certify their own remediation. Verification is independent by construction

Second line & examiners

May

Challenge, test, and examine any record at any point in time

Cannot

Change what they examine. The record is read-only under examination

Ways of working03 / 03

Manual, assisted, or copilot: same rules.

Teams choose how much help they want, per domain. The controls don't move: whichever mode you run, approval stays human and the record stays sealed.

01

Manual

A person drives every step. This is the official path, and the other two modes never bypass it.

02

Assisted

The platform summarizes evidence and recommends the next step. A person still clicks every write.

03

Copilot

Agents draft, rank, and prepare work under your identity and your entitlements. They cannot approve. That option does not exist for an agent.

The rules behind this framework are properties of the product, held as invariants. Read the seven laws.

The next step

Start with proof, not a promise.

There are three ways in, and each one earns the next. You approve the exit criteria before we spend any more of your time or budget.

01

A 60-minute working session

Bring one report that is expensive to prove. We walk the mechanism against it. Nothing is required from your side.

02

A two-week guided sandbox

Your team works hands-on against a synthetic sample bank. It requires zero access to your systems and zero procurement.

03

A six-week proof on your systems

We use read-only metadata across five systems and one priority report, scored against criteria both sides sign first. The decision it produces is yours.
